Luxury Sri Lanka 10-Day Grand Tour
Frescoed maidens high on Sigiriya's rock face set the tone for ten days that also take in drumming at Kandy's Temple of the Tooth, the cool ridges around Ella, leopard country at Yala and the ramparts of Galle. With a private car and driver, travellers see the island's great set pieces without feeling rushed.

Overview
This is the classic loop of Sri Lanka, refined so that each region gets the time it deserves. From Colombo the road leads north into the Cultural Triangle, where the Dambulla cave temple, the rock citadel of Sigiriya and the medieval capital of Polonnaruwa reveal centuries of royal and monastic history. Mornings start early to enjoy the sites in soft light; afternoons are left free for the pool, a spa or a village walk.
Kandy brings ceremony and the gardens of Peradeniya, before the hill-country train threads through tea estates to Ella, a mountain village of ridge walks and waterfalls. The descent south leads to Yala National Park, where jeep safaris search for leopards, elephants and sloth bears among scrub and lagoons – sightings are never guaranteed, but the variety of wildlife is remarkable.
The final days unwind on the south coast in Galle, whose fort is a UNESCO World Heritage Site of cobbled lanes, Dutch-era churches and sea-facing ramparts.
Every element of this journey – the route, the daily pace and the choice of hotels – is tailored to you, and nothing is booked until you confirm the plan.
