About Nuwara Eliya
At around 1,900 metres, Nuwara Eliya is one of the highest towns in Sri Lanka, with a cool climate, colonial-era bungalows and tea estates covering the surrounding hills. It developed as a hill station in the 19th century, which earned it the nickname “Little England”.
Horton Plains National Park — part of the UNESCO-listed Central Highlands of Sri Lanka — is about an hour away, with the World’s End escarpment and Baker’s Falls.
